It is with great joy and gratitude that I share how delighted I am to serve at Gateway Christian School. Being part of this vibrant K–12 community is a true privilege—one that offers unique opportunities to build meaningful connections across all ages, foster a deep love of learning, and grow together in our understanding of God’s world. Previously, I have taught, and worked as a vice-principal at Gateway. My wife Shana and I have four children who also attended and graduated from Gateway. Our grandchildren are still small and pre-school age, but I look forward to the day when they too, will be connected to this amazing community
At Gateway, we are blessed to walk alongside students from their very first steps in kindergarten to their graduation day. This journey allows us to nurture strong relationships, encourage spiritual development, and support academic excellence through every stage of learning. It is truly inspiring to witness how students grow—not only in knowledge and skills, but also in faith, character, and their desire to serve others.
Our mission to follow Christ, love deeply, and serve faithfully is lived out in everyday moments: in the classroom, on the playground, in chapel, and through acts of service in our community. I am thankful for the partnership we share with you, our families, and for the opportunity to lead in a place where Christ is at the center of all we do.

Cathy Mottus-Landry
-Vice-Principal
Hello,
My name is Cathy Mottus-Landry and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to continue to serve our students, parents, staff, and community as Vice Principal (K-5 focus) here at Gateway Christian School. What a joy it is to observe our students learn and grow as they explore their part in God's story!
I have enjoyed teaching in a variety of capacities for over twenty years. After teaching English overseas, I joined Red Deer Public Schools in 2006 and have served as an elementary generalist teacher, Early Learning Lead Teacher, Student Services Coordinator, and elementary Vice Principal.
I am also a Gateway parent myself! It has been a gift to watch my son grow in this amazing school community! When I'm not teaching, you can find me travelling on new adventures with my family, cooking, playing board games, and walking.
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email me or by calling the school at 403-346-5795.
